Bill Burns
He has had a dog in his life for 65 years. The last nine years have been focused on Havanese and Golden Retrievers. He retired from his first career ten years ago and decided to “get serious” about dogs. Initially he was interested in breeding in order to produce his next show dog. Then the intricacies of the art and science of breeding became the focal point. But now his main reward from breeding dogs is the ability to watch puppy buyers and see, time after time, how his dogs have literally changed people’s lives. Bill occasionally produces weekend handling Seminars and continuing education workshops featuring internationally renowned experts. Bill’s Kennel is called The Kennel At Burns Gardens. He and his artist wife Suzi and their ten dogs live in Port Ludlow, Washington, USA. Bill hopes to retain the perspective of a puppy buyer and someone new to conformation showing and breeding in his upcoming articles. His theme will be “The only dumb question is the one not asked.”
