The Havanese Breed Magazine is here to provide you with an independent magazine for the greater Havanese community. Our emphasis will be on education above all else, showing, breeding, health issues, socialization, raising puppies, training or any of the day to day realities with which we all deal. We plan to have informative articles on every subject that we believe is of interest to anyone that is lucky enough to share their lives with this marvelous breed with whom my wife and I have fallen so totally in love. So yes, I’ll admit that part right now. We do hold bias. We are out of the closet and in love with our Havanese, unconditionally. To read more about our own dogs please follow this link: www.talemakerhavanese.com.

We invite Letters to the Editor. If you have an issue you’d like us to address or a subject you feel would be interesting to the greater community please do not hesitate to share it with us. We are most interested in hearing anything that you have to say. http://www.havanesebreed.com/havanese-talk-more/

Our magazine is published electronically, six times a year. We would be honoured if you choose to join us on our journey together. It is now averaging 60 pages, almost entirely articles. Our writers come from a dozen countries, a concept that lends itself to an electronic format. We do produce it to print quality so you can absolutely choose to print it out at home and it will look clean and crisp, just like at the store. And the magazine is also now availabel in print for those who prefer to have the magazine mailed to them. It just takes time. Personally I prefer to read it on my iPad as I can zoom in to the images as I like and read it as large as I like. That is a nice feature from today's technology. Of course you can also just read it on your computer screen or as I said, print it in black and white or color and just read it at your leisure at home. An annual electronic subscription is $39.95 through PayPal. When I receive notification that I have received payment I email you back with a new LOGIN and PASSWORD along with a direct link to the latest issue of the magazine. You can also, for a nominal fee of $7 per issue, access any of the proceeding eleven issues to date by following this link:  http://www.havanesebreed.com/past-issues/.

Follow this link: http://www.havanesebreed.com/printed/ to get the latest information on the print version mailed to your door.

And, you can follow this link: http://www.havanesebreed.com/magazine-promo/ and download the second issue at no charge if you'd like to see what it contains. The magazine has evolved since that issue but it is representative of what to expect. In later issues I now lean more towards educational and informative pieces but you will certainly get an idea of the quality and content from issue #2.

We have articles from many excellent writers, including the occasional contribution from Kitty Braund. It is always a pleasure to hear from her.  Some writers you will remember from Kitty's Our Havanese magazine, others will be new to you. Some, such as Zoila Portuondo and Suzanne McKay should be known to all of you. All our writers are very experienced in those areas in which they have chosen to contribute even if it is just about sharing their lives with a Havanese. Our Contributors come from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Lithuania, the USA, Canada and more.  We are international in scope. The one common factor throughout is our shared love for the Havanese.

Thank you.
