Kathryn Braund
She has been involved in many activities in the dog world for 42 years. She is also the author of the best selling Havanese breed book in its third printing, "The Joyous Havanese." Kathryn Braund’s first dog story in 1972, “You Can Own a Dog and Work,” won best story of the year from the Dog Writers Association of America. She’s been writing award winning dog stories ever since. She was the Newsletter Editor for Dogwriter's Association for 16 years and she served as dog obedience editor for “The Spotter”, the Dalmatian Club of America’s quarterly for 10 years. Kathryn was editor/publisher of “The Courier,” the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America’s bi-monthly for 12 years, a beautiful color 124 page award-winning slick which she built up from a 12 page offset letter. Plus she was the editor and publisher of the magazine, 'Our Havanese', which unfortuantely is no longer in circulaton. She was a highly respected dog breeder under the kennel name of Roughrider.
